ot Really Either ist eine drei-köpfige Mathrock Band aus Wien, Österreich. In Ihrem Stil blenden sie Einflüsse aus verschiedensten Genres wie Post-Hardcore, Progressive Rock und Pop Punk zusammen, und als Sahnhäubchen obendrauf noch eine gesunde Portion Emo.
Das vielseitige Quintett Chief Bromden balanciert an den Grenzen von Genres wie Emo, Noise, Math-Rock und Triphop. Unvorhersehbare und energiegeladene Konzerte, präzise Instrumentalität und Dynamik sind charakteristisch für die Band. Im März veröffentlichten sie ein neues Album, in/tense Logic, das von Kritikern und Publikum positiv aufgenommen wurde. Im Sommer werden sie auf einigen Festivals auftreten, u.a. auch am 26. Juni auf dem Open-Air-Sommerkonzert im schönen Burza Nr. 4 auf dem Holešovice-Markt. Begleitet werden sie übrigens auch vom Mathrock-Trio aus Wien, Not Really Either.
Chief Bromden work with intense noise structures, unleashed drumming, sophisticated rhythms and emotional vocals in modern post-punk rhetoric. Unpredictable and wild shows have gained the band a certain reputation. The synergy and expressivity can be best heard there. Many have been convinced at major Czech festivals like Colours of Ostrava, Beseda u Bigbítu or Pelhřimovy. The band captured their unique sound on first LP Slunovrat (2020) and EP Noise Forever (2022). On the latter, the band teamed up with astonishing singer Lenka Dusilová for a duet Linen. Both were produced, recorded and mixed by Amak Golden and released by Full Moon Forum, while Noise Forever had its lathe cut vinyl release on an independent label Korobushka Records. Third LP by the band will be released in March 2024 by Full Moon Forum. It is called in/tense logic. In its 9 tracks the band delivers tighter sound, more accessible songwriting, but stays wild in arrangements. They deliver songs you can hang onto, on the edge. In 2024, they are set to play shows in Czechia, Slovakia, Austria and Germany and hopefully even further abroad.
